The Finalists of The Prodigy Examination Embark on a Community Project Dubbed "Break Free"

By The Chalk Talk Team June 1, 2026

The stage has been cleared. The trophies have been awarded. But for the finalists of The Prodigy Examination Season 4, the real work is just beginning.

In a remarkable demonstration of character beyond competition, the finalists of Season 4 have come together to launch "Break Free" — a community service initiative that carries the spirit of the Prodigy Examination from the examination hall into the heart of Tema's communities.

What Is Break Free?

Break Free is a youth-led community project organised by the finalists of The Prodigy Examination Season 4 under the guidance of The Chalk Talk Foundation – Africa. The project embodies a simple but powerful belief: that true excellence is not measured only by scores and trophies, but by the willingness to serve, to give back, and to lift others.

The name says it all. Break Free is about breaking free from the mindset that young people are too small, too young, or too inexperienced to make a difference. These finalists are proving otherwise.

Why This Matters

The Prodigy Examination has always been about more than academic competition. Aligned with the Ghana Education Service New Standards-Based Curriculum, the programme is designed to develop students who are not only critical thinkers and problem solvers, but also community leaders and global citizens.

Break Free is that vision made real.

When ten students from six different schools — public and private — step out of a competition arena and choose to work together for the good of their community, something extraordinary is happening. Leadership is being born. Character is being built. And Tema is watching.

The Wonder Child Standard

At The Chalk Talk Foundation, we have always said that the Wonder Child is not just the one who wins. Every finalist who stood on that stage at Christ Apostolic Church in Tema Manhean on 27th March 2026 is a Wonder Child.

Break Free is their way of showing Tema — and Ghana — exactly what a Wonder Child looks like when the cameras aren't on and the scores don't matter. It looks like a young person who chooses service. Who sees a problem in their community and does something about it. Who leads without being asked.

A Message to Ghana's Young People

To every student across Tema and beyond who watched the Prodigy Examination Grand Finale: this is your invitation.

You do not need to wait for a stage, a trophy, or a title to begin making your mark. You are already capable. You are already enough. And your community needs you now.

Break Free is not just a project. It is a movement. And it starts with you.
